Coal Under Pressure

“A diamond is a chunk of coal that did well under pressure,” or so the saying goes.

It’s really a more pure form of carbon than the coal you may be thinking of, but the story remains the same.

An important piece to note is that it isn’t a quick process. For a diamond, it can take billions of years for the pressure of the Earth to turn the carbon into a diamond.

Your change won’t take quite as long.
